Sacramento Ballet Second Company is thrilled to launch its brand-new Family Series with a lively, one-of-a-kind production of Jungle Book — a perfect first ballet for children and families! Specially designed to introduce young audiences to the joy of live dance, the Family Series blends storytelling, music, movement, and imagination in an accessible, family-friendly format.
Jungle Book, choreographed by R. Colby Damon and inspired by Rudyard Kipling’s classic tales, is a 50-minute, one-act ballet that follows Mowgli’s unforgettable journey through the jungle. With vivid costumes, engaging narration, and playful, animal-inspired choreography, this enchanting production will captivate audiences of all ages.
This spring, Jungle Book will also mark an exciting milestone in Sacramento Ballet’s history:
