Hiyori Ushikubo

Born in Saitama Japan , Hiyori Ushikubo started dancing at the age of 7. At 12 years old she joined the Acri Horimoto Ballet Academy and trained under Massimo Acri and Miwa Horimoto. In 2018, she was accepted into the Royal Ballet School Antwerp in Belgium, and after graduation, she then joined Arles Youth Ballet Company in France directed by Norton Fantinel and Karina Moreira. During her three years in France she had the opportunity to work with many extraordinary choreographers, including Craig Davidson, Julien Guérin, Patrick Delcroix, Kinsun Chan, Young Soon Hue, Katarzyna Kozielska and Ricardo Amarante. This is her first season with Sacramento Ballet.
