Sacramento Ballet Unveils Young Soon Hue’s Groundbreaking Romeo & Juliet — A First for American Ballet

This Valentine’s Day weekend, Sacramento Ballet is thrilled to present a fresh and groundbreaking interpretation of Romeo & Juliet, choreographed by world-renowned dance artist Young Soon Hue. Running February 14-16, 2025, at the SAFE Credit Union Performing Arts Center, this production marks a historic moment for American ballet as it becomes the first-ever full-length work by Young Soon Hue performed in the United States. Accompanied by the live orchestration of Prokofiev’s iconic score by the Sacramento Philharmonic & Opera, this reimagined classic promises to captivate audiences with its emotional depth, dynamic movement, and breathtaking innovation.
